Monthly pay in the Philippines depends mainly on the role, location, live-in vs live-out arrangement, years of experience, and any specialised skills such as newborn care, cooking, or driving. Metro Manila — especially Makati, BGC, and Taguig — typically pays a premium over provincial rates.
Know the Kasambahay Law
The Domestic Workers Act (Batas Kasambahay) sets minimum monthly wages by region and requires benefits such as SSS, PhilHealth, and Pag-IBIG coverage, a rest day, and 13th-month pay. Always offer at least the regional minimum and factor statutory benefits into your budget.
